A couple of months ago, the Lega Del Cane Trani rescuers encountered one of the saddest cases they have ever seen. A man was driving between Trani and Barletta in Italy and came across something very suspicious, writes fancy4work

On the side of the road was a mangled suitcase and a few inches away was a pitbull puppy on the bone. The way in which the suitcase had been cracked, gave a clear idea of ​​the terrible situation that this furry boy had faced.

“How is it possible that someone can do something like that to a defenseless being?” lamented a user on the networks.

Everything seemed to indicate that they had put it inside that briefcase to throw it and get rid of it . Somehow, he managed to get out of there but he seemed completely exhausted and without strength.

The man who found him called rescuers and they immediately took him into their care . The little boy’s situation was really difficult.

He had a lot of stomach problems and giving him the much needed treatment seemed like an impossible task since he didn’t trust any human.

“The results of his exams are really dramatic . There is anemia, hyperparathyroidism, liver failure, necrosis in some tissues. It has a stomach-enteric apparatus full of stones and strange skins”, explained a spokesman for the Foundation.

Many would have given up in the face of such a difficult case, but this poor furry deserved a chance to lead a happy life.

“Those who found him and saved him are angels,” thanked an Internet user.

For weeks he continued to be extremely weak, but as the days went by he regained the strength to get up and managed to eat by himself.

He received the name of Kei and despite his critical health, the biggest challenge he had to face was to regain his trust in humans.

“We don’t know if he is an inexperienced puppy or if his fear is due to everything he has suffered,” said one of the rescuers.

Little by little, the beautiful furry has allowed himself to trust a little more in the humans he has been getting to know. He seems to understand that he is getting stronger and all thanks to the care of the veterinarians.

It’s a relief to know that the furry one received all the help he needed after facing such a painful past.

“Whoever adopts Kei will get a dog that they will have to rebuild physically and psychologically. It is a great commitment”, said one of the rescuers.

No living being deserves to be locked up and left to fend for themselves in the middle of nowhere. Kei still has a long way to go and we hope that he can be adopted by a wonderful family.
